Design a Logo for a store celebrating its 70 years

Contest Brief

Hi,

We have a retail store based on Mykonos Island (Greece) which sells mostly beach/sea stuff. More specifically, it is merchandised: Havaianas, Crocs, panama hats, espadrilles, towels, diving and swimming equipment (Speedo, Arena), beach tote, tunics etc.

We want a logo that would assimilate the given photos in order to highlight the history of the store. The outcome could be in greek or latin characters ( which is "MEGAS") and could be a mix of those two images. The color of the logo preferably is blue or any variation of blue and the background of the logo could be the mosaic depicted in one of those pictures. We want a sketch logo that it would have a vintage look with respect of the history. Also it could have an anniversary message.

    and #38 and #43 .Thanks. I am not sure what do you mean with the background. Please explain...you want a picture(jpg) on which you want the logo to be desplayed? I mean you want the logo to look good on such a backround(mosaic with different colours) OR you want a logo that reminds somehow of this background: by colours, by shapes etc? And, most important, how are you going to use this logo: on your store only or you will have it printed on paper, on other objects from your store. Please clarify this. Thank you!

      Hi! thank you for your entries. in order to make it easier for the freelancers i uploaded a document with our preferred fonts so you can focus on the background , colors etc.. it's not supposed to be the background.this logo would be used for bags, signs ..regards

    sorry guys again, but the fonts that i used are NOT for the background but you can use them one by one. i just did it to make it easier for you to see which are our preferred fonts so you can focus on the colors,alignment, background shape etc.. as i have said b4, we want a simple but elegant logo. thanks

      hey chanmack, thank you for your entries..they look very professional. however, it is not what i am looking about. it doesn't have a vintage look and the font doesn't suit with the store and the island's aesthetics..that's why i have attached the two photos :))

    Δεν έχεις βάλει στην περιγραφή, για τι κατάστημα πρόκειται. Από τις φωτογραφίες δεν βγαίνει και πολύ νόημα, μονο το όνομα φαίνεται.

    Επίσης πρέπει να κανεις το διαγωνισμό #guaranteed

      Θα ήθελα ακόμα μια διευκρίνιση. Στην φωτογραφία που έχεις ανεβάσει γράφει "παντοπωλείο" ; η κάτι άλλο και αν θα σε ενδιέφερε να συμπεριληφθεί.
