Work must be original and unpublished. Please don't take quotes from songs, etc. Be original. This is a celebration of sexuality and eroticism.

We are publishing a book of erotic short stories, poems & haiku's in 2014. This is the first of many volumes to come, Think Chicken Soup for Your Erotic Soul. More than 20 submissions will be chosen from this contest. This contest is open to men and women. You can state whether or not you would like credit for the work you submit or if you'd like to submit as "Anonymous".

These stories should stir emotions in people that allow their minds to think outside the realm of their reality. Think about the last time you were turned on the last time you turned someone on. It can be clean or dirty. Put your best work forward. This is truly going to be a great publicized project and a great opportunity to have your work published.

Please send a screenshot /jpg of the story you would like to submit, also I would like you to put up to 1000/words in the description box or a synopsis of your submitted screenshot, just in case I am unable to read it from your screenshot.

Submissions -
Short Story - short stories should be between 750 - 1500 words
Poems - Poems should be no more than 1500 words
Haiku's - Well these are short, simple and thought provoking

Genre - Heterosexual or Ambiguous

You will also receive a copy of the hard cover book at the time of its hardcover release. (The book will be digitally published first)

If your submission is accepted you are authorizing Novel Haus (USA) & Sencera Bright to exclusively publish your work in any media form. We reserve the right to reject any submissions, we reserve the right to publish the written works in various volumes of this project. We will give credit to the writer/author for all works received at the bottom of each short story, poem and haiku. We reserve the right to edit works for grammatical and structural errors. Any work not chosen/paid for via this contest will not be used for this project or any project with Novel Haus. You will be paid a one time fee for this contest once your work has been selected.

Hey I have a quick question about this- one of my poems was picked, and if I wanted to in the future publish a book of my poems, I have the right to add the poem that I submitted and was chosen, correct?

Hi everyone, I submitted in total 15 articles, hoping for a chance for one or two to get picked, not all fifteen. They took a lot of time and effort to write. If they did all get chosen, that would have been awesome, but they didn't. Its a contest. Some we win, some we don't. I do not think its fair to expect the contest holder to pay for entries she didn't like. This is just my opinion.

  dear friend tunumariya, I thoroughly agree with you. You are a writer and you may well know the effort and emotion put in by someone who sits to write. When you enter a contest and there are just 30 entries, I think it is pretty fair to expect atleast a comment. Investment of a few words on your entry telling you what was expected and what your entry lacks. Why it is not the choice of the contest holder? I do not ask for payment, neither do I write for it. But I am sure you would also be equally hurt dear if your writing was totally neglected and all the claims that were made seemed false. You enjoywriting for people who treat writing like some senseless work, I can't

  Resh, I hire writers all the time and I'm not quite sure why you are in a tizzy over the contest. I like your style of writing but it wasn't right for this particular project, I had your profile saved to invite you to future projects but this is too much of a hassle now. Please review the rules of freelancer, we are not obligated to make selections that we don't deem suitable for our projects. Do you smear every contest or job you don't win? Hi, we didn't choose your work, it was not upvoted by anyone on my advisory team. We have a right to choose who we want to. No need to be bitter with accusations about the project. I gave you a compliment about your stories being written and formatted well but they were not a erotic turn on and this is an eroctica project. Best of luck.

@greivw- put it in simple and honest words dear, even by the last week you did not seem to get enough entries so you made tall and false claims about the content getting published and 20 entries being selected and stuff. you treat writers like they are worker bees.Hope you would understand how wrong you were here.

But that is pretty unfair to commit beforehand that 30 entries would be selected and then failing even to comment on all entries

  It's not unfair, we have a right to choose content as we see fit. We only received 40 entries and did not expect to choose 30 out of 40, if we'd received 200 it would be more realistic to have a better selection, some of it does not fit into our scope. We are still making decisions and commenting on the ones we'd like to see changes in or more of. Thank you.
