  i follow the usual process and that is whatever brief ( detailed information result in detailed work ) you give me on the basis of that i'll make the rough sketch's of character in diff variations , once approved then only the coloring process starts , so most the work will be done during sketch process where you will be able to tell where all the work is going which save time also
